Dead poets Society is a film that is set in the 1950s at a conservative all boys elite prep school. Mr. Keating is an English t from each oneer at Welton Academy that has actually different methods of teaching than the rest of the staff. Welton Academy is based on the idea that education is a strict, well laid emerge path, which has been tried and true and doesnt need to change. He does many different lessons that are in truth simple, but are very effective and each student listens to his words and absorbs them in a different way, each adept take for granteds away a new piece of knowledge on how to become more human. Mr. Keating does many wonderful lessons that show each of these philosophies of life in an inspiring way. These are what will be the main focus.
The first lesson that will be covered is his lesson on conformity. It begins with them standing outside and he picks 3 individuals and tells them to vertical take a stroll.



They begin to walk and eventually all of their strides were in the same pattern and the rest of the classing was clapping along. After, he points out that in the beginning they all had their own stride, but by the end they were walking in perfect unison. He points out, the obstacle in maintaining your own beliefs in the face of others, and not just meaning the students walking, the whole class conformed as well. I figure this lesson has to do with being human because a part of being human has to do with having your own voice, thoughts and opinions and being able to realm them, even when its tough.
