English play Intentions My group consisted of Sine and I; we trenchant to choose a section of the play from Act II from pages 58-59. In this section there were three main characters , and scarce two actors. These three characters are the near important, witty and strange characters in the play. We used this to our advantage to show the differences and similarities between these characters, as we played them all with only two people. We chose this section because it reflects the crack up pop ideas in the play. The protagonist Jack Worthing, who was found in a handbag in a cloakroom of a railway station of London, had grown up to be a adept adult male who is a major(ip) landowner. He is know as Ernest in town and Jack in the commonwealth and he faces many obstacles to win over Gwendolen his true love. peerless major obstacle is Gwendolens mother, Lady Bracknell, a snobby, autocratic and exacting women with only one primary goal in life, to embrace off her dau ghter into an honorable, wealthy family just as she had. However, as Jack is incapable of giving Lady Bracknell a consummate overview of his family background, he does not fit into her list of desirable youth men. As she is narrow-minded and fond of ignorance, it allows her to label the most unwittingly humorous speeches about what she believes is absolutely right.
