Matt Kuiper MKTG 213 July 25, 2009 Week 2 Assignment Ad Review The advertizing that I chose to look at was an ad for the new LEXUS redeemable that I found in the July issue of WIRED magazine. The advertizement itself catches the eye as it is right inside the front privacy on a 2 page spread, a cheap red convertible parked underneath an overpass at twilight. The citys lights ar aglow and the night is upon us, steady chasing the sun into remission for another evening. It is underneath this dark canopy that the reader finds himself peering, wondering what the next few hours will living for him: Excitement? Danger? Love? Fine dining? Parties? The publicizing seems to hint that all of these and much more are mathematical when one makes the leap from the ordinary to the extravagant vehicle of the caller class. To the left of the advert are various business cards, distributively proclaiming something different, such as Event Catering, Animal Control, Exotic Costumes, bail bond Bonds, and Forgive Me Flowers. To the right of each of these business cards are times, starting at 3:15 pm, and the last 8:05 am the next morning (the flowers).

We are led to gestate that the man driving this incredible machine had a as well incredible evening out on the town, ultimately wind him to jail and moving him to send apology flowers the next morning. The advertisement focuses on 2 areas that most everybody enjoys entertainment and excitement, with and underlying comedic proposition for additional flair. The key selling message here is fun. manifestly put, this car is a heck of a lot of fun and perfectly perfect for a wild night out on the town. In fact, the message underneath the Lexus itself is Live a little, a lot further pushing the pursuit of a sizeable time. The audience for this message seems to be adults who like to have a good time and live life on the edge.
