I was the sender. I was telling my economize about church building services today with the change in procedures by the new minister. My husband was the receiver. The channel was face to face. The misapprehend was I was telling him about how the changes in service were authoritative by some of the church members. He took my comments as a challenge and began to advise me on how the congregation should abide by the ministers decision on how the service should go and how the minister and the congregation should sit see and discuss the changes.
I did not have a problem with that. The problem I had was the way expressed himself in an argumentative manner. He is not familiar with our church service. When a church has been conducting services the like way for twenty years, it is not so easy to carry out a change especially overnight.
While most of the church members complied with the change, other members were not wanting to comply and did not. The change was, unremarkably the ushers passed the offering plates down the pews. The new minister wants the members to file down to the front of the church and put their offering in a basket.
