The four basic goals of psychology are describe, understand, predict, and control demeanour. John B. Watson was a psychologist who firmly believed in the behavioural perspective. Watson favored the theory that anybodys individual behavior was controllable by a mere shift in environment. By conducting experiments as this it was his philosophy that human behavior was accordingly completely predictable enabling understanding into the psyche of man. very much advancement has been made due to this psychological precept. Along with its check in the area of learning processes, this perspective has made contributions in such diverse areas as treating mental disorders, curbing aggression, resolving power sexual problems, and ending drug addiction (Feldman, 2010, pg., 17).
Sigmund Freud pioneered the psychodynamic perspective a theory in which consists of the assumption that all human behavioral functions are based on unconscious drives and forces. Freud held the belief that conducting analysis of dreams would give true indications of peoples earnest thoughts and motives.
